We use the information we collect for the following purposes:

  • To Provide and Maintain the App: We use your account information and Content Data to operate the core functions of the AAC app.
  • To Improve the App: We use Usage Data and Device Information to understand how users interact with the App, identify bugs, troubleshoot issues, and improve the App's performance, features, and usability.
  • To Personalize Your Experience: We may use Usage Data to personalize your experience within the App.
  • To Provide Support: We use your contact information to respond to your support requests.

  • For Analytics: We use Device Information and Usage Data, in conjunction with Google Analytics, to analyze app usage trends and improve our services.

3. How We Share Your Information

We may share your information with the following third parties:

  • Google Cloud: We use Google Cloud for hosting our App and storing data. We have a Business Associate Agreement (BAA) with Google Cloud to ensure compliance with HIPAA, to the extent applicable.
  • Google Analytics: We use Google Analytics to collect and analyze Usage Data. We have configured Google Analytics to anonymize IP addresses and respect user privacy settings. We *[may or may not]* have a BAA with Google Analytics.
  • Stripe: We use Stripe to process payments for subscriptions. We do not store your full credit card details; Stripe handles this securely. We have a BAA with Stripe.
  • Service Providers: We may share your information with other service providers who assist us in operating the App, providing support, or performing other services on our behalf. These service providers are contractually obligated to protect your information.
  • Legal Requirements: We may disclose your information if required to do so by law or in response to a valid legal request, such as a subpoena or court order.
  • Business Transfers: If we are involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of all or a portion of our assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will notify you via email and/or a prominent notice on our App of any change in ownership or uses of your personal information, as well as any choices you may have regarding your personal information.

5. Data Retention

We will retain your information as follows:

  • Account Information: We retain account information for as long as your account is active, and for 1 year after account closure for legal and accounting purposes.
  • Usage Data: We retain Usage Data for 2 years for analytics purposes.
  • Device Information: We retain Device Information for 2 years for troubleshooting and analytics.
  • Content Data: We retain Content Data for as long as your account is active. You can delete Content Data at any time through the App's settings.
  • Log Data: We retain Log Data for 2 years for troubleshooting and analytics.

We will also retain and use your information as necessary to comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements.

6. Your Data Rights

You have the following rights regarding your personal information:

  • Access: You have the right to request access to the personal information we hold about you.
  • Correction: You have the right to request that we correct any inaccurate or incomplete personal information we hold about you.
